Soft Ctrl key stops working with soft keyboard after using a hardware keyboard about droidvim HOT 6 CLOSED

Would you tell me the following to confirm this problem?

• Android OS version.
• The input method (The app name of the soft keyboard) you are using.
• Your language.
• Reason for changing to "character based".

I found it more natural, the word-based method feels very strange, I'm not comfortable with it.

I fixed Ctrl key problem and improve Gboard hardware keyboard handling.

I've been testing and now I think I've lost the difference between the word-based method and character-based. They both seems to be character-based. Do I not understand something?

UPD: I found that I should press the IME Shortcut button to feel the difference. Quite nice features, by the way. I think I'm going to start using a word-based method.
