I manually killed the process that spawned. Now running the same command seems to complete normally. Unfortunately when attempting to view the site in the browser, the process just seems to hang there until timing out. Any ideas on how to debug this?

You could change the bind address to port 9292, and try connect to it directly.
Also check that your webserver is actually pointing to the socket.

The command it's running is cd /var/www/skateboxes/current && bundle exec puma -C /var/www/skateboxes/shared/config/puma.rb
. When running this via Capistrano, the app just hangs until it times out. However if I SSH into the machine and execute the same command as the deploy
user the app becomes accessible in the browser. I'm completely stumped...

can you reproduce this bug in another server ?

I don't have another machine to test this on but setting set :pty, false
eliminates the error...I have NO idea why though.
