some issues with that fork, but it seems to work. i suppose ajax-upload might be path of least resistance, but i do like that jquery-file-upload is more actively developed, and the ui is pretty intuitive. anyway, just my two cents since i don't have the time to fork it at present.

Shame you didn't go with jQuery-file-Upload. The client-side resizing is very handy.

shouldn´t be a major issue to replace the current uploader (patches are welcome). what do you mean with "the client-side resizing"?

I'll see what I can do but I'm using the no-grapelli fork so it's not as simple as just a pull request.

"client-side resizing" - the aim is to avoid huge uploads. I have a CMS where clients often upload 8 megapixel images from a digital camera that are immediately downsized on the server to a more reasonable size.

Several upload libraries now allow the resizing to happen client-side by drawing to Canvas and reading the data out as a jpeg (canvas.toBlob() I believe...)
