Hi, I think I can take this, but I was checking and didn't figure out where to add the setting for the user. If you could guide me, I could finish it.

@GaboFDC I suppose it could be a checkbox menu item, under "Edit"

@sebbrudzinski I am having a bit of problem here. I can add menuitem in menu and can response on click of menuitem using annotations (like other menuitems in menu package). But I want to add a JCheckBoxMenuItem but I dont know how I can do that. There are lack of resource in google and I am following The Definitive Guide to Netbeans Platform 7, where I did not find anything to add JCheckBoxMenuItem. Can you help me to find good resource to learn Netbeans Platform or any source/project where I can look for these kind of things.

I have another idea that I may skip JCheckBoxMenuItem, instead add a normal menu item with a select icon. I will only show the icon when wrap line is enabled. But problem is, I do not no where to initialize the icon when application starts (to set last sessions wrap line settings).

@sabbir044 I agree that NetBeans Platform documentation is hard to browse... I'm often having troubles finding something there as well. I've managed to find some links that seem to have what we want, but they are pretty old... I'm not sure how much has changed since NetBeans Platform 6.X but it's worth to give it a try:

Feel free to let me know if you are still stuck.
