Hi @somebee, thanks for responding. Jupyter integration sounds like a great way to expand the scope. I was also thinking it would be great to include an interactive shell because then you can show anything accessible via command line, which is quite a lot. A generic browser window would be my next choice because that encompasses the entire web, but I realize the complexity explosion that entails.

Will the Scrimba codebase be open at some point? If so, I'd love to take a look and contribute.

+1, I work on coder training tools at Google (e.g. https://github.com/googlecodelabs/tools). I love this tool and would be very interested in seeing (or helping add) support for other languages and environments, particularly interactive shells, Go, Python, and others. Is there a repo where people can contribute to this project?

@judofyr is currently working on support for other languages by integrating with jupyter. This should allow Scrimba to work with any language that has a working jupyter kernel.

@marcacohen: Are you thinking about just simple evaluation with stdout and repl support, or being able to actually run applications (with gui++)? The latter is quite far down on our list of priorities, since it is a pretty big challenge to get right :)
