It's because for sleep you need a program or a script that turn the computer off. For windows you need to install a program. For Ubuntu make a shell script that turn off the computer and update the PHP page to run the script when you're sending the sleep command.

Hmm could someone maybe help me out to update the PHP page to run the script when i'm sending the sleep command?
