@gidonkatten thanks for the elaborative issue. After running your code, could you please clarify/check one thing:
state = App.localGetEx(Int(1), Int(0), Bytes('test'))
According to pyTEAL docs the params of localGetEx
are (accountIndex, appID, key).

(Int(1) == Txn.accounts[1]) & key
('test') seems OK to me. However, we're passing appID == 0 here. I am assuming you're trying to pass it as an index to foreignApps array (or maybe int(0) here means current application id).
But according to docs it should be the application id in uint64
. You can store the applicationId in global state, or use Txn.application_id()
or just use Global.current_application_id()
. I updated the line above to the one below and then local state was fetched correctly.
state = App.localGetEx(Int(1), Global.current_application_id(), Bytes('test'))
I am not sure if Int(0)
in applicationId means current_application_id. If that's the case, please let me know.
