Issue with object mapper and stack overflow about spring-auto-restdocs HOT 5 CLOSED

I think we're missing documentation for this annotation. Also it would be better to just support recursive structures. We'll take a look in the near future.

Did a bit more digging and this is most likely a recursion bug. Looking through the stack it looks like one object is nested in another which is nested within the original object.

From a business standpoint this makes sense though it is not the best idea code wise. Im going to try and use @RestDocsNotExpanded to see if this fixes this. I think maybe it still needs to be addressed as this is quite confusing to debug. If nothing else a more specific error to pinpoint the problem.

Ideally it would be handled similar to what spring data jpa does and just breaks the links when a recursion is detected.

Thanks for digging into it more, it's hard for us to debug without access to the code. @ResdocsNotExpanded should indeed fix errors with recursive data structures.

I had similar problem and @RestdocsNotExpanded solved it.
