Since batch size is configurable on the batch request method 200 is just a default value.
In my own tests using the annotate_vcf branch a batch size of 1000 will play better when using threads (parallel requests) than when issuing one request of 10000 variants in a batch.
There is no global like default, since the batch size will affect the response size and therefore for some users a 30mb response might not be suitable.
So it is most a try and find out what suits you best approach, even though large batch sizes (> 10000 might be problematic).
The branch that includes the parallel requests processing still needs some work though to finish (e.f. run.py will replace batchRequestClient by accepting an input file and an output file) but it is in a state that can be used.
