It might be nice to have discussion wherever it is most appropriate and then organize the best notes and put them on Github (pythonsd.org website, or wiki, or somewhere else that feels "permanent").

The Meetup forum might be a good place to coordinate the sharing of notes discussions, but discussion boards aren't for discussions, not for timeless content... so I think it should ultimately end up somewhere else.

I tend to agree. I think to some degree we do this already. People post discussion to Meetup and we grab the slides and other more timeless stuff and post to pythonsd.org. We don't really do much for notes the way we have been with slides, though.

I think the right place to discuss a specific meetup is in the meetup comments. I don't think we need another place.
