Develop an R package that is user-friendly, facilitates model running, sensitivity analysis, calibration and output processing all within the R environment. Comparison across 3 different lake systems Langtjern, NO (shallow, dimictic, oligotrophic), Feeagh (IE) (deep, monomictic, oligotrophic) and Mendota, US (deep, large, eutrophic) using observed (EWEMBI) daily data (or local data) and comparing to observed lake temperature data. Assess the differences in model performance across many different variables (surface temp, bottom temp, thermocline, stratification/ice statistics, heat fluxes etc.) and also across model characteristics (run time, complexity, etc.).
