If I have pre-saved image on my computer and then I want to compare that to what it is from our application, how would I accomplish that? The example shown here (http://huddle.github.io/Resemble.js/demoassets/main.js) deals with getting two files from remote location.

Also, does it support any file format or just jpg? Thanks in advance

It should work with png files as well.

https://github.com/Huddle/PhantomCSS uses PhantomJS to generate the screenshots and save to disk, then through some hackery populates two file inputs with the images, from which we can get the image file data and pass to Resemble

Rather than using file inputs, you could serve those images locally via something like https://github.com/nodeapps/http-server and thus still use XHR to grab the image file data.
