@patseng @stanleytang in the current PyPI version, you can already add the following Flag in settings.py:

RQ = {
    'autocommit': False,
}

The flag above will cause django-rq to commit only when Django fires the request_finished signal at the end of each request/response cycle. I haven't documented this feature because I wanted to try it out in production for a few months before doing so.
