Do you have a second instance of Rpush running that you're not aware of?

I do have a second Rpush running on a different server. But the fact is
that I am not sending the same notification twice: that is the old
notification, received sometime hours ago, that come back up on the
notification center.

I don't believe this to be an issue with rpush. Nothing in rpush sends a delivery timestamp to the APNs, the "Nm ago" you see is handled by the phone itself.
