You can already search using this extension, but not in the extension itself but via the URL bar (or Omnibar as chrome calls it). Just click the URL bar, enter "bm", then tab, and you can search there.

Well, I think it must fit to the other icons of the chrome toolbar (menu, home). Maybe black star on white background.

I've just released a new version where you can change the icon. See the options page.
The extension is currently in process of being updated, which may take up to 60 minutes, so you might not get it right away. If you haven't gotten it after 60 minutes from now, try restarting chrome.
