robynmundle's Projects

banking_customer_demographics icon banking_customer_demographics

Third Mini Project looking at financial transactions to generate customer segmentation through demographics and banking behaviours. The project was an unsupervised learning experiment starting with Data Wrangling, Visualization, and Preparation to Feature Engineering and finally Dimensionality Reduction via PCA. Clusters were generated through KMeans Clustering techniques.

data_science icon data_science

A repository of collected lessons on the development of Data Science skills

drug_discovery_bigquery icon drug_discovery_bigquery

A large-scale bioactivity database for drug discovery (BigQuery) [Kaggle](https://www.kaggle.com/bigquery/ebi-chembl/code)

heart_attack_prediction icon heart_attack_prediction

Machine learning problem looking at Cleveland healthcare dataset from Kaggle for the prediction of the likelihood of heart attack based on patient attributes.

language_translation icon language_translation

Fifth Mini Project looking to predict English sentences translated from German via the NLTK Comtrans corpora using a pipeline of data preprocessing and stacked LSTM deep learning models.

loan_status_predictions icon loan_status_predictions

Fourth Mini Project looking to predict loan status via a pipeline of data preprocessing and supervised learning models based on applicant information. The model was then developed into a Flask App API and deployed to the cloud (AWS) for implementation.

poi_waterton icon poi_waterton

Second Mini Project looking at the points of interest (POI) in Waterton, AB through Foursquare and Yelp APIs to practice techniques relating to: APIs, Databases (SQL), Pandas, and the processing of special data types in Python.

predict_future_sales icon predict_future_sales

With a dataset originating from Kaggle, the goal is to utilize daily historical sales data and forecast the total amount of products sold in every shop for the test set. Note that the list of shops and products slightly changes every month. Creating a robust model that can handle such situations is part of the challenge.

predicting_flight_delays icon predicting_flight_delays

Midterm Project of Lighthouse Labs consisting of generating a supervised machine learning model for predicting the flight delays of US flights from 2018-2019

titanic_survival icon titanic_survival

This is the legendary Titanic ML competition from Kaggle looking to use machine learning to create a model that predicts which passengers survived the Titanic shipwreck.

trail_recommender icon trail_recommender

Capstone Project of Lighthouse Labs consisting of web scraping hiking trail information to build a dataset on top of the Walking and Tramping routes provided by the Department of Conservation (DOC) in New Zealand. Trail information is cleaned and recommendation systems are generated based on hiking similarities. Recommender built into a Streamlit App and deployed on AWS

transport_london_api icon transport_london_api

First Mini Project evaluating the Transport of London API information to practice different HTTP requests and extracting values from complex lists and nested dictionaries. This work was presented in a 5 minute session.

tv_movies_data_exploration icon tv_movies_data_exploration

Exploratory Data Analysis of two Kaggle datasets for TV Shows (1) and Movies (2) compared between Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video and Disney+ streaming platforms. The information collected from this notebook was implemented in a RnR (Research and Reflect) paper generated for Medium.com.
