The advantage of building a transpiler rather than an interpreter or a
compiler for Go is that it comes with all the tools and libs (standard
plus contributed) of Go "out of the box".
Perhaps that could be an interesting alternative for your project?
After all that what the Kotlin, typeScript, C++, etc. people did (with
great success).
