@tamasbege, thanks for your bug report. I checked your problems, and the error is only present when using the action in a windows container (see https://stackoverflow.com/a/74444094/81356870.
As stated in the README, the action is only supported in Linux containers (see #26). Please feel free to create a PR if you'd like to add support for Windows. Otherwise, the solution in #26 (comment) seems to work for me.

My runner is an Ubuntu based runner actually, so no relation to the error you mentioned regarding Windows. But I managed to do it in another way and hence don't need the action anymore.

Okay, that is strange, then. Maybe a temporary issue with the GitHub actions since I can not reproduce it with any of the Ubutnu runners 🤔. Happy to hear you solved your issue.
