The implementation of this library is highly platform dependent (as are most iOS librairies written in Objective-C). Porting this lib to Android will most likely means that I'd have to rewrite the whole project in Java and using what Google provides for handling every video related stuff. Only the overall API might be kept the same, however the way Google decided to implement its video framework may be so different that the SCRecorder API can be absolutely irrelevant on Android.
TL/DR: For an Android implementation, it would have to be done from scratch.

what are the Android options these days? Particularly something useable for React Native? I'm using SC Recorder on iOS which has been ported to React Native: https://github.com/maxs15/react-native-screcorder
