There is a StackOverflow question about hidpi in JavaFX... Looks like they advise to use em units.

OK, my fault, apparently version mismatched.

sudo update-alternatives --config java

And selected 8 instead of 9. I got

But the app showed and was functional. Looks cool! Though a bit small on my hidpi display.

HostServices is used to make the link work. Can you click on the link in the front page and see if it works? I guess it won't because of that Exception, but everything else should work :)

Interesting that your system had Java 9 installed... not a lot of things work with Java 9 yet.

I am actually in the process of testing LogFX in Java 9.

Yep, clicking on the link gives

BTW I've tested on Linux Mint but using Oracle JDK 8 and everything was working fine. OpenJDK unfortunately has some differences from Oracle's, but it has been announced that Oracle's will be merged into OpenJDK and that will become a single JDK, which hopefully will avoid these kinds of problems.

Maybe to fix the "smallness" problem I should use something other than px to size the window... Maybe % or something... do you know how this is usually solved (i.e. different sizes on different screen resolution) short of having to actually check the device?
