Project name clash about rye HOT 2 CLOSED

Hi @9214, thanks for heads up. I noticed Rye package manager around half a year back through another HN post. I am not sure when development on it started but it seems github repository was created around April 2023. Ryelang repo was created Feb 2019. For now I'm not considering a name change and I am not bothered by it. I use Ryelang a lot when addressing this project and it's hard to come up with names without any name clashes anyway. If both were languages then it would be more problematic. It's a little unfortunate, but I don't see what I can do about it. At the end the "content" matters the most and there is plenty to do on that front still.

I'm sure I remember your username or maybe I should say number :) from Rebol or maybe Red community :). Nice to see you! I deliberately didn't want to inject myself into Rebol/Red communities as I don't want to disturb Red on its path, so you are maybe one of the first Rebol-ers that stopped by :).

Yes Go, and making the language very Go adjacent is a gift that keeps on giving ... it's a very practical language with tons of libraries and it was one of better choices.

My initial reason for choosing Go was that I just needed a Rebol like language for web and "backend" dev ASAP and Go seemed the most solid choice in that area.
