Ah. This is because of the switch from hg -> git. It kept all the old tags with the identifiers pointing at the hg commits instead of git. I can fix this and rebuild all your docs by deleting the versions and rebuilding.
Another question is, do you guys need every version of pip's docs built? It seems a bit excessive, maybe having the newest point release of each major version makes more sense. Currently it's overflowing some of the design bits, because we weren't thinking people would be putting 13 versions of their docs on the site.
It's cool if you do, I'll just need to figure out a way to make that work in the design.
