+1 on suggestions being objects w/ids, right now this is the only thing stopping me from using this component

Just for your information.. the #60 is/was quite similar, i just added the index of the suggestion-array to the suggestion-items (so in the string), so i can detect the selected item by the index - and that's the way i get to the ID of the suggestion.
