I tried that before but didn't work, now I need to use this filter on each template

{% autoescape false %"} ... {% endautoescape %}

though I'm not using any twig cache, this is a little bit awkward, I'm still trying to figure out this issue

I encountered the same issue a few days ago. Setting the autoescape option to false didn't work.
I also "solved" it by applying the raw filter. But I agree, there should be a real solution for this issue and not a work around.

You must clear the twig cache after changing settings, with either php artisan twig:clean or manually in app/storage/views/twig.

Like @bonzai has said, make sure you clear the cache after changing any of the config options.

It's a regular support request so maybe I should put something in the readme?
