Thank you @joelvh. We are still using it, but it's more a periphere app and doesn't get that much attention therefore...
I'll add you as a maintainer if I don't hear from @pencil and @calmyournerves, soon.

@jmmastey I was thinking the same... am happy to help contribute.

@pencil Any input?

I've written a few modifications for my University's use. A bunch of neat local stuff, including some more universal things like:
- Duo Two Factor Authentication Support
- Redundant LDAP servers in one authentication scheme (for automatic failover in case one is down)
- Support for CAS groups specification
I am currently working on a samlValidate option as well.

Fwiw, I'm leaving this issue open mostly for historical reasons. No commits on this repo (or apparently maintainer activity) in over a year now.
I'm running my clients off my own fork until I can transfer them away from this library, sadly.

@jmmastey @twhitney11 any interest in contributing to and maintaining a fork of this?

@luxflux @calmyournerves you guys involved with this project at all? Can we get a dialog going with you or @pencil ?
Thanks!

@joelvh I would be interested in helping support the project. I've made a few modifications here and there and think I understand the codebase fairly well (even though I'm not primarily a Ruby developer). Some modifications are unique to the University where I work, but others I believe would be of interest to the general public.

Hey there, sorry for the long response time...
Unfortunately, I didn't get a response from @calmyournerves and @pencil regarding this matter. But I'd say we happily transfer the ownership of this project to someone who has more resources available to maintain than we have.

Hi @luxflux, apologies for my delay as well, and thanks for the response. I'd be interested in helping this project move along. Are you guys still using this library?
Let me know how you'd like to go about moving forward.
Thanks!

I'm beginning to maintain CASino on our branch. We just upgraded to support Rails 5.0 and will continue to make improvements. We have a branch for Rails 4.2 support and may backport some things, but primarily focusing on Rails 5.0 and improved features.

Hi @joelvh, thanks for forking and upgrading the library to include Rails 5 support. I would be keen to contribute to your forked repo if possible, rather than create yet another fork for our team.
Let me know if this is possible to submit a PR to your repo, or if you prefer an alternative approach.
Cheers!

@bengreville go for it. Happy to merge PRs on our fork.

@joelvh having some permissions issues in creating a new remote branch in https://github.com/identification-io/CASino.
Would you mind checking the permissions of the repo please?
from casino.
@bengreville can fork our branch and then submit a PR.
