if i'm binding an event with value-event, i always want the default prevented. i'm interested in hearing about the case where you want the default.

I second @nrw about preventDefault() can just be enabled globally.

Agreed on the preventDefualt() being enabled directly.
preventDefault: false is pretty rare. It depends but I can see it for links to anchors where you want to grab click info for stats or style reasons, input focus, hovers (mouse enter), etc.
