Thor already support this. All commands are reversible through the invoke and revoke methods.

Nice. But how do you do this from the command line then?
I have never seen that described.
$ rails g scaffold ...
$ rails g model ...
$ rails g revoke step=2
The revoke would undo all the actions of the past two steps. Is this possible today?

Today you can revert one generator per time.
rails destroy scaffold User
I cannot see any use for reverting by steps. If you need something fancy, is best to rely on your SCM tool.
