It does makes sense and it's a perfectly logical request. Rather disappointed I didn't think of that when I first implemented it.

Likewise, those skipped steps could be adding back in as well: If the user switches back to their previous choice, or chooses something else, the progression should be dynamic and able to branch at any point.
