Immediate crash in Gentoo about nethogs HOT 4 CLOSED

Can you build from git master and try again? That should either solve the problem, or generate a better error message so we can further improve.

Thank you. Building from git resolved the issue. Let me know if I need to make a separate issue for this, but when building from source, it did not update my PATH variable. Is that something I need to do manually?

My steps to install were:

git clone https://github.com/raboof/nethogs.git
cd nethogs
make
make install

pbx nethogs # nethogs
-bash: /usr/sbin/nethogs: No such file or directory

It did copy it to /usr/local/sbin/nethogs and it works from that directory.

This is probably your shell remembering where nethogs was before - for example for zsh, 'hash -r' should fix that.

This is not really the responsibility of the nethogs build script, but indeed it might be nice to make this a bit smoother.

Agreed it is not the responsibility of the script, but I for one think it would be a pertinent step to add to the process. Thanks again for your help. 'hash -r' was the ticket.
