Allow watching multiple files instead of directory about watchful HOT 3 OPEN

It's been a while since I did anything with this but FSEvents only works at a directory level if memory serves. I suppose it would be possible when using that backend to have the library create the ignore list and keep it updated if/when files are added to the directory. Is that what you had in mind?

Actually not, I just assumed that you could watch files directly as inotifywait can watch singular files.
The other solution seems so disproportionately complex

Maybe the user should just filter the incoming event using a whitelist with the files that are being watched. Should I close this issue?
