Fix is released and the broken versions have been yanked. Thank you for the notification and I apologize for the noise!

I might have a similar problem. I'm building hatchling in Fedora Linux and the latest version stopped producing executable file installed to /usr/bin/hatchling
defined in configuration as:
[project.scripts]
hatchling = "hatchling.cli:hatchling"
I've tried to build the latest hatchling with version 1.21.1 and also with the latest version and both seems to have the same problem.

Also, when I install hatchling 1.21.1, the virtual environment contains bin/hatchling
but when the latest version is installed, it does not.

Another (probably) similar symptom I see is that a e.g. hatch_fancy_pypi_readme doesn't install hatch-fancy-pypi-readme into bin anymore when built with hatchling 1.22.1.

Thanks!
