I'm not planning to support Windows right away with this project, unfortunately :( I may consider PRs that add support if they can do so without tons of code branching, but my time's limited and Windows is always a pain in this area. Sorry!
Leaving this open for now in case somebody feels generous with their time at some point.

Actually, closing this & deferring to #119 which should solve it, I think, if I can just find the time to merge it...
