You're right, the pyinaturalist version pinned in the dev branch was out of date. It's been updated now. Thanks for reporting!

It appears that you need to require importlib-metadata too. Thanks for the rapid turn-around.

@alanterra Thanks! I must not have tested recently on python 3.7. importlib.metadata is part of the standard library as of python 3.8; I'll add a note about installing it for python 3.7. Thanks!
...Funny that a python 3.7 issue happened to come up in issue #37!
