Thanks for highlighting this.

There was instructions on the blog post on how to uncomment the AZ module using the kudu console.
(in the past when this blog post was created this was the only way to enable the AZ module)

This process is now a little bit easier as MS introduced the concept of 'App files' you can do it straight from the portal now instead of using the Kudu console, by uncommenting the requirements.psd1 file in the Function Apps 'App files' as you have mentioned.

I have updated the blog post and removed the kudu method and added the method using the portal instead!
I have also updated the PowerShell version to 7.2, and the Function runtime to 4 in the scripts!!

Yes, that's correct, I have also updated the function app runtime to be v4.
You can see on the blog post this change:

Function version runtimes are now v4 instead of v3
