Seems thats is not problem of Mockito,
Has same problems with EasyMock.
dirty solution of problem:
move mocking on top of method & after that call addTranslatedPhrase (which
affect
database)

Can you please check with trunk version? Trunk version should be downloadable
from
the main page. I fixed one problem with cglib and this might be the reason of
the
behavior you're experiencing

I was trying to reproduce this problem with HSQLDB 1.8.0.10 and latest Mockito
version from trunk. Went through the steps given in the description above and it
works fine for me.
Could you attach sample code and test, which is failing?
