Sorry, ignore the edit comment. The commit I referenced has caused the error in the screenshot. Before that commit, Powerline works fine, after that commit, I get that error, and Powerline doesn't load.

Hmm. Unfortunately vim doesn't seem to be able to relay Python error messages when using pyeval. I suspect the bug may be caused by some stray *.pyc files, could you try to remove Powerline entirely and make a fresh clone of the repo and see if that works?

You can work around this issue using if 0&&exists('*pyeval') in place of if exists('*pyeval') (the second main reason why I do not look for adding appropriate code for *pyeval).
