He is not, I am the owner of this particular app. I understand he is working on something vaguely similar, but my program has some pretty powerful features his app lacks (in addition to being more professionally written, easier to use (GUI), and much easier to maintain).
I'm very interested in your project and particularly how you are able to render data from thunder Viewer to Tacview GUI.
Do you use a particular Tacview Add-on or you are using the native telemetry tool ?
Tacview has a standard interface over a localhost TCP connection for real-time telemetry.
What my app does is download live vehicle and match data from a War Thunder localhost server and formatting said data into an ACMI file format using the pip-installable Python package WarThunder. Then, the ACMI formatted data is passed via a TCP connection to Tacview for rendering (no plugin needed).
For documentation on Tacview compatible ACMI formatting, see here.
For documentation on Tacview TCP connections, see here.
For documentation on the WarThunder Python package, see here.
Does this help?

Hi,
He is not, I am the owner of this particular app. I understand he is working on something vaguely similar, but my program has some pretty powerful features his app lacks (in addition to being more professionally written, easier to use (GUI), and much easier to maintain).
As I look into both of your projects, I would strongly suggest to work together. There are very good features on both side. That would be a shame if there is not one united project to serve the War Thunder community.
As for my question regarding the work flow of your app, your reply is very clear. Thanks.
Cheers

Nobody is going to use the real-time telemetry feature. If they do, people are going to cry and bitch about it and it's just going to bring unwanted attention and gaijin would most certainly limit the API rather than rework it. It gives a unfair advantage (Simulator Battles) as a whole team can join an EC match, and know where all of their team mates are, which would let them know which visually identified objects are friend (shown in Tacview) or foe (missing from Tacview). This is straight up cheating.
