I disagree, for many reasons explained by other people in good posts on medium and personal blogs (semver is not honoured by bower, projects download in their entirety, then prune "ignore" files, it has no deduplication, it adds unnecessary build system complexity, the list goes on), but the most concise form is "if you have JS dependencies, use one manager for them", and since you already have npm if you're considering bower, because that's how you install it in the first place, why add yet another layer of complexity? Just use npm, it's great at package management.
