Unable to capture hotkey input events about globalspeed HOT 1 CLOSED

As long as document.activeElement is an input, textarea, or any element with a contenteditable attribute, Global Speed and other plugins usually ignore it.

I recommend ensuring an input element is focused when trying to capture user input. TypingClub does this and that's why I can't see any conflict with Global Speed.

Instead of using window.addEventListener('keydown'), you should create an <input id='controller' type='text'> element and listen for key presses on that controller.addEventListener('keydown'). Maybe the difficult part might be to ensure the input element remains focused.

I'll look into solutions on my end as well.
