Add hostname to the ec2 instance to access observer about blockscout-terraform HOT 5 CLOSED

hostname should be a new parameter set in terraform config.

hostname @acravenho is using for this issue isn't the OS hostname. It's the fact that the BEAM needs to be started with --name so that it has a name that observer can talk to over Erlang Distribution once you SSH into the node running blockscout. You can't remote attach to an Erlang node if it doesn't have a name set with --name.

If you used a release made by distillery with mix release, the commands that are generated to run the release start it with --name.

The --name, since we're going to SSH to the node first can be [email protected] since we aren't planning to access it between IPs.

As far as I see the other monitoring tools are being used, so this is not valid anymore.

Yes, wobserver monitoring tool is used in Blockscout instances. I guess this issue is not relevant.
