In former times when Plone grew up Dublin Core Metadata Terms Location was state of the art. http://dublincore.org/documents/dcmi-terms/#terms-Location
But with all the location based stufff today we think more in geo-coordinates. Maybe its better to improve p.a.c. in a way, that location is a field where someone can enter an country, city or address or set a marker on a map.
IMO this should be an optional behaviour, because there are plenty of scenarios where a location on an CMS content item make no sense at all.

Omitting the field was a intentional decision when creating dx since it never showed up anywhere. https://pypi.python.org/pypi/collective.geo.behaviour is one option to scratch that itch.
