The file supplied is a FBX file, not GLTF.
Are you using the PlayCanvas Editor or using the engine only?

Once you know how the basic setup in Blender works, you can convert FBX files in a short time nearly automatically, e.g. by using this Blender addon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmXiyrsg82g
To get you started just download the Blender file: r2d2_blend.zip
Or exported as glTF: r2d2_gltf.zip
Unzip glTF and drop the folder here: https://playcanvas.com/viewer
