The solution is to set the About dialog as modal and transient for the Cubic window. Additionally, do not explicitly set the Cubic window as insensitive when the About Dialog is shown or as sensitive when the About Dialog is hidden.

With this solution, the main Cubic window will be insensitive while the About Dialog is open; this is to be expected and is the same as current behavior.
However, with this solution, the user will not be able to drag and move main Cubic window while the About Dialog is open. This is typical for Gnome applications, but it will be a change for Cubic. Previously, the user could still move the main Cubic window even though the About Dialog was open.
