Hi guys. Thanks for your great work on Pixi. Can we understand the difficulty around this filter? Is the implementation trickier than expected? Are there browser issues? Or is there simply insufficient demand for it?

I think it just isn't high on the long list of things we have going on. PRs are more than welcome though!

It looks like the filter made it into the repo, but it hasn't been published to NPM yet.

There are still issues with that filter that we're trying to resolve before publishing. Namely, if you run with the examples (npm run build:all && npm run examples), there are three issues:

1. Creates some artifacts when combined with other filters (black box in the upper left hand corner).
   

2. Alpha is not handled correctly wrt selecting a non-black shadow color.
   

3. Performance is slow.
