This should be doable with the current states, I'll have a go at this now.

Perhaps the ui context can also have a

captured: Vector<UIID>

which always keeps track of what widgets currently "capture" the cursor or fingers (for multi-touch). This might be useful to avoid widget conflicts with widgets like DropDownLists etc

I was thinking along the lines of captured just being a container that holds the currently "Pressed" widgets, so for example if a widget registers itself as Clicked, than it can place its ID in the ui_context's captured container so that other widgets can check if the mouse is already captured by another widget just by checking captured. Is that kind of what you meant by a stack?
