Aww nuts. Unfortunately we use knox, so it's not easily fixed. However, now that https://github.com/aws/aws-sdk-js exists, it may be worth moving to that library instead of knox.

Knox just lets you pass in the secure false option, could just pass that through? I find the knox resistance surprising since static hosting is so big on s3.

Yeah, we can expose the {secure: false} option in the grunt config.
