This lib is clearly meant for browser usage. For node.js, there are plenty of compression libs that probably work a lot better than this, since storing the compressed result in a string is clearly a bad idea - unless that's the only storage around. What kind of use case did you have in mind?

I imagined compressing something in the browser and sending it to the server (since http requests are not compressed otherwise), or compressing something in the server and sending it to the browser (since WebSockets are not compressed otherwise).

Not yet. Pretty easy to import it into any node.js project though.

I did publish it to npm, thanks for the heavy lifting though. Can anyone tell me if it actually does work? I was able to use it at home but I still may have done something wrong...
