Hi @sidharthb0, I'd be interested in using your custom plugin. Would it be possible to get access?

Hi @m-rousse, I've uploaded the instax plugin that I built. It's been a while since I worked on this so I'm not exactly sure what other changes I had made (if any) in the pibooth code. Let me know if you're able to use it and if not I'll dig into it when I have some time and figure it out. As far as I remember the picture_plugin.py file also had some changes made to it.

Some things to note:

  1. Enter the MAC address of your printer in the file
  2. Enter the correct device name (multiple places)
  3. I had created custom logos that show up on the GUI when the printer is connected/disconnected (file paths to be updated)
  4. I believe pibooth looks for the printer while it's starting up so make sure your printer is turned on before starting pibooth
  5. When you tap/click "print" after the picture is taken, the connection between pibooth and the printer is slightly slow so give it a couple seconds (~5-10 seconds) before clicking print again, otherwise you will end up with multiple copies of the same photo. I need to improve this to disable the print button once it is clicked (on my to-do list).

These are a couple things I remember. Please go through the python code before implementing, I might have missed something.

Cheers!

Managed to get this to work by building a custom plugin. Anyone interested can ping me; not perfect so not uploading it yet.

Many thanks @sidharthb0 for the code + the instructions.
I managed to get it running and if I believe the logs, it should print just fine, I only need a cartridge to test now.

I had to do some tweaks on the path of the processed image, I'll see to share the diff of my changes.
