You can arbitrarily mix the styles, so you just use .map(...). Unfortunately this forces you to use parenthesis and you will have to start to worry about operator precedence. Personally I can never really remember the operator precedence, but in the case of & and | the operators seem to behave as expected.
I experimented with adding a third operator for assigning actions, but unfortunately I couldn't find anything satisfying. If you find a nice extension operator that would make it simpler for you to attach actions, feel free to send me a pull request.
