@tshepang can you please clarify this point? Elegant is not a brownish theme.

Is the color out of place or font style?

sorry, I meant the color

Anyways, try this: when on some post on my site, and the click on some tag, the change is rather drastic; feels like it's another site.

There is an issue consistency here. We got 2 ways of showing hyperlinks...

traditional:

stylish:

Is this intentional?

Also, by brownish, I was referring to the font color... looks brownish to me :)

A nice solution (if you consider this a worthy complaint) would be if the color of the traditional links would match that of Post titles. I haven't tested this though, so I don't know for sure.

About consistency, the dotted underline style is used for links in article. Every other link, like those on home page, or in tags and categories page are blue in color. Tags page is going to undergo an overhaul as you suggested here #34.

As for the brownish color, can you please check the categories page too. Do you find the links there brownish too?

The color for Categories and Tags pages are the same. The Tags one is more significant since it's the more likely thing I'd click.

Anyways, you can close this ticket if you feel there's nothing to be done here.

Nah! Let me redesign tags page and then we can discuss this issue again.

Redesign? What you have in mind?

Main feature is going to be date along with every article. Lets see how it is going to look first, before we decide anything about link style.

from elegant.

talha131 avatar talha131 commented on September 25, 2024

We shouldn't show date with articles on tags page. It will only add to info clutter. On Category page each list is hidden in collapsible accordion, so it works there. But on tags page all lists are visible so dates there have reverse effect.

I don't know, it can look quite nice. Check this example: http://demo-moment.tshepang.net/tag.

talha131 avatar talha131 commented on September 25, 2024

It looks nice on your link, because its CSS style is altogether different. Color, line spacing, font size, you name it, every style is different. Date suits on that page because of this reason. On elegant's tags page it adds to clutter.
